Welcome to the Art Room! It's going to be a great year!
This year in Art, grades 4-8 will practice a choice based art room also known as Teaching Artistic Behaviors (TAB). Choice-based art education provides for the development of artistic behaviors enabling students to discover what it means to be an artist through the authentic creation of artwork. The ability to make one's own choices and decisions regarding one's work is a contributing factor for creativity. Multiple centers will be open daily and students have the option to execute their work. Grades K-3 will learn the basics of those centers, elements and principles of design and how to properly care for their materials.
